Fantastic Journey Science Fiction Space Art

This design all started from the idea of a space man / diver hybrid, and then the world grew around that. Our journeyman divernaut is visiting and exploring worlds within worlds and meeting new friends in my cool space fantasy. Here's how it might go:

The galactic traveling diver-naut, Exley, was on a mission to explore a newly discovered planet in a nearby system. As he landed on the planet's surface, he was viscerally awestruck by its unique and strange beauty. Diving below the planet's oceanic atmosphere revealed an entire universe.

Exley donned her exosuit and dove into the atmospheric water, eager to explore the unknown. As he swam, he came across all manner of alien creatures. One that resembled a glowing, luminescent purple octopus wrapped in some kind of technology, seemed curious about him and approached slowly, tentacles reaching out to touch him like long extended fingers, energy pulses running down the length. When thoughts suddenly started appearing directly in his head, he knew instinctively they were the creature's.

Exley and the creature exchanged pleasantries, introducing each other, and then jremarkably quickly, became enthusiastic chums. Exley was amazed and delighted by such friendly behavior from a being so utterly different from him, on a world so utterly different. What are the odds? Since the being had no use for names, he decided to call him Zeno.

Despite the absorbing conversations, eventually Exley begged Zeno's forgiveness to leave as he had exploratory responsibilities. To his great delight, Zeno offered to accompany Exley, to be his personal guide to the planet. He accepted with undiluted exuberance. As they explored, they encountered ever more strange alien life forms. Some were large and majestic, while others were small and delicate. Some were flora, some fauna, and some both. Each one was more fascinating than the last. Zeno explained each one as soon as Exley's mind began to wonder. It was a magical experience.

Exley felt very much like he was in a dream, surrounded by creatures that he never could have created in his own limited imagination. Finally, he returned to his ship, excited to share such incredible discoveries with his team back at the base. He knew that this world would change the way we understand the universe. As he took off, Exley couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness at leaving his friend Zeno, and this strange and wonderful alien world behind.
